Via TinyCatPants (their real name):
Bloggers Behaving Badly missed this back in February, but it's worth repeating:
Blogger Terry Frank announces, via her blog, that she has "EXCLUSIVE" documentation that shows that Saddam Hussein had a million (!) pounds of yellowcake uranium (not to be confused with the scrumptious dessert known as devil's food cake). This was all well and good until fellow "netizens" pointed out a few unfortunate facts:
(1) Ms. Frank refused to supply any documentation.
(2) This seemed to be a story widely reported THREE YEARS prior (perhaps she was embarrassed that her top secret information was an old issue of USA Today she finally got around to reading?).
At this point Ms. Frank had two options:
(1) Release her documents showing exactly what she's talking about.
(2) Lose her mind with the world watching.
Obviously, Ms. Frank chose option 2. We would quote the relevant language, but it's a bit... disjointed. She rants about someone not asking the New York Times for documentation, then says she is going to help save the world, noting "Whether my story is believed, appreciated, or even carried forward is irrelevant to me." Responsible Reporting 101 kids, we here at Bloggers Behaving Badly hope you're taking notes.
